Susan Campochiaro Confrey

Susan got her start early in her career as a triple threat (Actor-Singer-Dancer) working in regional, national tours, film, tv, commercials and on Broadway.  She is formerly of the William Morris Agency in NYC, where she was trained extensively in the “business of the business.” Choosing not to be an agent,  she opened up her own company Career Breakthroughs Unlimited, Inc., as owner and trainer, “Coaching Actors in the Business of Acting"™. (she is in the middle of writing her book). 

She is also a certified Transformational Coach with over 4,000 hours of training under her belt and over 20 years in the field professionally in major corporations and then leading and transforming actor’s careers.

In 2008, after seeing how well her clients were doing and at their behest, Susan created CBU Management, Inc., where she is Owner and Talent Manager working with a very talented roster of actors. To name a few:

Carrie Compere (The Color Purple and Holler if Ya Hear Me on Broadway), Brandi Porter (A Bronx Tale on Broadway), Deborah Green (The Post, Dir. Steven Spielberg opposite MERYL STREEP, NBC's Blue Bloods), &  Whit K. Lee (Steppenwolf Theatre, Actors Theatre of Louisville, and Orange is the New Black). 

Others projects include Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Billions, Bull, Seven Seconds, You're My Friend (with TOM HANKS), The Looming Tower, The Blacklist, Boardwalk Empire, Lucifer, The Tick, Mind Hunter, Cartoon Network, Power, Sucessions to name a few.

National tours: Brandi Porter, A BRONX TALE. Kristin Stokes, THE LIGHTNING THIEF AND Carrie Compere, THE COLOR PURPLE, Gavin Gregory, THE COLOR PURPLE, and the list goes on. 

 

Susan has directed and produced "Five Women Wearing The Same Dress" OFF-Broadway, short films: Cinema Night, Small Talk, and TV series pilot: David’s Magical Adventures. 

 

Co-Producer of "POWER(less)” winner of The Manhattan Film Festival, 2018, and shown at the CANNES Film Festival Short Film Corner 2018. CANNES Project Handbook CANNES Film Festival 2019.

 

She opened up her Production Company LIGHTFIELD ENTERTAINMENT, INC. in July of 2018 and created the “LFE Writer’s Lab”, which consists of  Nine writers. She produced short films this past Fall. “Flirty Thirty," starring Nicholas Sotack and “Train Platform" starring Whit K. Lee. 

Susan wears many hats, and is committed to each and every one of her projects and her clients like they are the only one. Susan’s reputation of “caring” for her actors is true and well known throughout the Entertainment Industry. Arnold Mungioli, Broadway Casting Director says: “There is no other Manager/Professional in this business who cares for clients like Susan does." Her Light and her Love and her indomitable Spirt is transmissible!
